Miami is called the Magic City for a reason. The stunning beaches, exclusive nightlife, international je ne sais quoi, celebrity sightings, world-class cuisine, and so much more make it the destination for a good time.

With so many options, it’s hard to decide just what you’ll be doing on any given day in the 305. That’s why we’ve created this guide to the 10 best things to do in Miami! Check it out, and start planning your Miami vacation today!

10) Soak up the Sun on Miami Beach

Miami Beach gets its name from the world-famous beaches. There’s South Beach, North Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, and about 100 more. The ocean is sparkling blue, the sand is white and hot, and the drinks are cold. Sounds pretty good to us.

9) Watch the Miami Heat, Miami Marlins, or Miami Dolphins Play

Miami doesn’t get the rep it deserves for professional sports. The Heat have started to change that, but it’s still easy to snag a ticket to see the Dolphins or Marlins play. Check them out before they blow up and you have to pay serious money for a seat.

8) Hit South Beach and Live It Up

Move over Ibiza, South Beach is the clubbing capital of the world. Story, Trade, Basement, LIV, and more are all located in or super close to South Beach. Club hop the night away and have the time of your life.

7) Go Shopping at Brickell City Centre

With a tag line like “style has no labels,” you know this mall is going to be good. Welcome to Brickell City Centre, a 500,000 sq ft hub of fashion, entertainment, dining, and nightlife. Oh, and they ever have 700+ residences, for those who want to experience Brickell 24/7.

6) Get Artsy at Wynwood

Wynwood is the Brooklyn of Miami. That may sound like an insult, but it’s not. It’s the best compliment we can give to the hottest neighborhood with a 305 ZIP code. From Art Basel to the Wynwood Walls to the countless galleries to some seriously tasty bistros, you’ll always find something to do in Wynwood.

5) Play a Round at the Blue Monster

The Blue Monster is one of South Florida’s nicest golf courses. It’s also one of the most difficult. It may even be the most difficult depending on how good your long game is. The course has played host to a major PGA event annually for over 50 years. The final hole was even ranked as one of GOLF Magazine’s best holes in the world.

4) Visit the Internationally Renowned Miami Zoo

This option is a bit more family friendly, but you’ll want to check out the Miami Zoo even if you’re taking a solo vacation. Not only is it the largest and oldest zoo in Florida, but it features regular special attractions and events. We’re really looking forward to Zoo Lights.

3) Charter a Yacht

We couldn’t create a guide of the 10 best things to do in Miami and not mention chartering a yacht! There are too many reasons to list here for why taking a yacht out for the day (or week) is something you need to experience. The best? Chartering a yacht defines luxury.

2) Explore the Everglades

The Everglades are the largest subtropical wilderness in the country. With over 1.5 million acres to explore, not to mention plenty of different activities to choose from, you don’t want to miss out on going to the Everglades on any Miami vacation.

1) Hangout Poolside at SLS Hyde Beach

The number one thing you’re going to want to check out in Miami? SLS Hyde Beach, of course! SLS stands for Style Luxury Service and their poolside spot is nothing but. Designed by L. Murray Dixon in the late ‘30s, the South Beach destination has gone through a few facelifts over the years. Today, it’s where you want to be to catch celebrities, sip mimosas, and experience what Miami is all about.
